We’re taking a last-minute trip to San Diego in a few weeks for a mini much-needed vaca (yay deals page!). We’re staying the Mission Bay area. Want to do San Diego Zoo, beaches, & walk around cute little shops, but don’t want to spend a ton of money, since we’re trying to save for the wedding! (We got free flights w/ rewards & a hotel for 5 nights for $450)
Any recommendations of (cheap or free) things to do or great restaurants? Thanks bees!

Here are some suggestions for some of my favorite places in my hometown:
-Free Museum Tuesdays-Balboa Park has certain museums free on Tuesdays.
-Best restaurant with view of skyline: C Level/Island Prime
C Level has happy hour during the weekdays and you can watch the sunset and see the skyline of San Diego.
-Best Dessert Place: Extraordinary Desserts hands down.
They are pricy, but it’s worth it.
-Coronado: nice beach, nice hotel, nice community. You can take a ferry from downtown over to the island.
-Fun bar/restaurant: Turf Supper Club. Grill your own steak for $7.50 in a community grill. Good cocktails. Must be 21+. It is a hole in the wall and nothing fancy.
-Fun Neighborhoods: North Park, Hillcrest, Gaslamp.
-Temecula wine tasting. Temecula is an hour north of SD. Plenty of beautiful wineries.
-Stone Brewery if you like beer. Free tour of brewery. Samples included.
-Try a California burrito.
Please feel free to PM and I can tell you where to go specifically based on your price points and interests.
