We worked with Alex, Wolfe, and a third person (a woman whose name we didn't catch) who was editing all day for our SDE. Everyone was so impressed that day and I believe they can work with any budget because they have an a la carte list of options you can choose from so you can get what you want for that day.

Thank you for all the recommendations thus far! I definitely will check all of them out. ![]()
Check out video madness I loved their stuff but my inlaws hired a videographer behind our backs
My fiance is a videographer at NBC news, so choosing the right video person was a thorough process! One of the reporters that he works with suggested Weddings on Film- they've done a wide variety of major events, celeb weddings etc. We, however, have caviar taste on a hot dog budget so we've enlisted WOF's less expensive division, Video Basico. They run about $3,000 and we're happy with our dealings so far. Let you know once we have the video in our hands.

Good luck!
We hired Thomas Hughs. Their work is fabulous and right in your budget. Good luck!
you can check out Bay Area ViDeo Production work and packages, you could find this suite your budget and style.
My sister is using Super 8 by First Floor Films. http://firstfloorfilms.com/index.html
I worked with a videographer from Thomas Hughes film and the guy they sent out must not have been very experienced - he stood right where the groomsmen were lined up as if he were a groomsmen to film the vows. It was very distracting. He also made a poor decision to have the screen for the slideshow during the reception on the dancefloor and actually asked guests at the 3 tables behind it to get up and stand on the dancefloor to watch it. Very awkward as well. Don't know what he was thinking!
For lower budgets:
starting at 795 for basic ceremony only, and 1495 for 8 hours with certain highlights
I went with Graham from Final Frame Studio (www.finalframe.com) and he did a WONDERFUL job. I purchased the 12-hour day + raw footage + Same-Day-Edit and it was all under $2K. Oh yeah... my wedding was a 2 day affair and he charged by the hour for our tea ceremony. His prices have increased since we booked him, but still affordable.
Here was our same day edit. http://vimeo.com/25533394
HI,
I got an amazing deal when I found a film student at UC Berkley and he was amazing. You would never guess he was a student and his professionalism amazed me, got the video dvd and video short with in 2 weeks of wedding. His name is Nathan Nuygen and here is his video short from our wedding. He can be contacted at the vimeo site below.

Hi Hive,
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for videographers that they have used for their wedding withing the San Francisco bay area?
Our budget for videography is between $2,000-$4,000.
I really like StillMotion but their pricing is out of our budget.
Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!
Thank You!
