I know...what is Duckling doing on the SF boards?  Well the company I work for is based in SF and we are planning a company event and holiday party.

I am in charge and have no clue who to turn to for a catering company. One party will have between 20-30 people and the other will be 40-50 people.  I'd love to have someone who can bring in tables, chairs etc. but if not that is okay too.  Any yummy recommendations?

I'm hoping some SF bees have a few recs for me.

Not sure if it helps but the offices are in Soma which is where we will also have the parties.  Thanks in advance!!

    Try Bi Rite Market!  http://www.biritemarket.com/

My boyfriend used to work there and would bring home the yummiest foods!!  We wanted to use Bi Rite when we got married but our budget was too small to accommodate a catering crew so we opted to have our reception at a restaurant instead.  Bi Rite local and sustainable foods... they are not only talented in their line of work but a great business.

Do you definitely want to have it at your company's offices? Otherwise, I'd do a restaurant buy-out (or for the small group, just a private room). Then you have a bunch of terrific options---that's what we always do, and it often ends up being comparable to a caterer.

Open Table has a list of restaurants with banquet capacities: http://www.opentable.com/info/banquets.aspx?m=4

Depending on what kind of an event you're planning, you can call and ask what types of spaces they have. You have lots of yummy options right in SOMA, but of course there's plenty further afield, too! A bunch of restaurants offer catering at your site too (Slanted Door is a really tasty one, though there are plenty of others). And if you want something off the beaten path, there are dozens of gourmet food trucks in San Francisco, some of which can set up shop indoors if you ask (depends on their individual setup).
