I used Julie Ireland. She is on Franklin & Bush, about a 10 minute walk from the Civic Center BART. She actually created my wedding dress, and I am 100% thrilled with it. She also does tons of wedding dress alterations, and she is fabulous. You can PM me if you have more questions about her! :)
I absolutely love Lucy's. By coincidence, she's done alterations for a few of us fellow bees and we all love her. She used to work at the bridal galliera and all my gfs getting married or have been married also got or are getting their dresses and bridemaid dresses altered there.

Also try using http://tripplanner.transit.511.org/mtc/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2?language=en to help with the bus route to get to San Bruno from San Francisco.
Here's a great recommendation from Mrs. Sunbeam: http://www.weddingbee.com/2009/08/03/smitten-by-a-seamstress/
I 2nd Cherry Blossom's recommendation about Lucy's in San Bruno. She only takes CASH - and is completely reasonably priced. I have had 3 bridesmaids dresses and plan on taking my wedding dress there.
@cherryblossom: Anyone now if Lucy does zipper to corset alterations or has done this with her? How were results and cost? Thanks!
@soontobemrskeho: I'm using Julie Ireland, too! She's now moved to the Flood Building, which is next to the cable car turnaround and Powell Street Bart. You can find her on Yelp. She's super sweet and doing a great job for me so far!

Does anyone have recommendations for a great San Francisco seamstress or bay area seamstress that is accessible by BART? I live in San Francisco and do not own a car so it makes traveling to other towns difficult. Any help is appreciated!
