Weddingbee boards

Hi Ladies! We're doing a Bee Meet Up in San Jose next Friday night, April 1st, at 6:30pm. Someone voted in another post that we either do Cheesecake Factory at Valley Fair Mall, or somewhere on Santana Row. Post below if you'd like to come, and what your favorite restraunt is in either the mall or the row. Most votes wins?!

ETA: I have a hook-up with getting a discount at a few places on Santana Row; we can either enjoy 15% off entire bill (not including alcohol) at the places that have (15%) after them, or some places have a free appetizer or free dessert. Or we could eat cheaper (like Pasta Pomodoro or Chili's) and not worry about a discount! Just some ideas for everyone!

I want to come! Can you add a poll for the location? I like Santana Row over Cheesecake Factory, but not sure what would be budget friendly...

@pink.sequins: haha girl, you're quick! I just sent you a PM :) I'll add a poll, let me look online at some budget friendly places and I'll put up the restraunts separetly as opposed to just "SR" alone!

I share your sentiments exactly. We could eat at Pinkberry or Starbucks or the hot dog vendor in front of Starbucks for all I care!

haha, yeah I'm a total night owl! Normally I go to bed between 12-2, but my FI is out of town and I can't sleep easily w/o him so I've been up till like 3 or 4 lately!! Ps - I live close by, so felt it my duty to arrange once you suggested VF or SR! see you soon :-D

@piperhallie: I have a love/hate relationship w/ my schedule. I normally work 12-8 or 2-10, so my night is ruined BUT!! I get to sleep in, therefore I get to stay up late :)

@JoJo Bananas: There are two different parking lots on the row that are covered parking, both have three levels of parking. There's the Winchester parking lot, you can enter it from either Winchester Ave or from a sidestreet off of Santana Row. There's another that's more in the middle of SR and it's underneath the apartment complex. You can enter from Olin or Olsen, those are both streets that go from SR to Winchester. Both lots are free. When we get closer to next Friday I'll find a map online and link to it if anyone would like an ariel view of it. (I'm totally a visual person, so I'd have to see a map b4 going somewhere new!)

Ladies - I've posted a map of the row with parking... IMO the teal lot is the easier one to get in/out of, plus it's literally right next to Pinkberry, which it seems like we'll be haeded there after dinner ;-)

Hi, dear! There seems to be about a handful of us that have voted...any others out there you know of we can invite?

Not that I can think of, but I want to see if I can get this stickied on (at least) the local boards, so nobody misses it. Otherwise I'll bump it up every morning :) I also found the SF meet up post from a few weeks ago and posted a link to our meet up on that page.

Anyone else have ideas to find more local bees?

@Entangled: you read my mind. I was planning on making reservations next week, I had been thinking Tuesday or Wednesday. Do you think that's too late/early?

Piper - I just called Pasta (since it's the leading contender so far) and they don't do "reservations" unless the party is over 15, but they do "call aheads" to prevent flakes. So I'll have to call Fri afternoon. Entangled - not a problem! Looks like I can't make reservations anyways, as long as I can get a final count by Wed pm at the latest :)) ps so cute!  Breezy - get off work early!! Hehe even if you can't make dinner def come join for Pinkberry!!

Ok ladies, I've send PM's to all of you, as well as a few others I might have stalked tracked down in weddingbee land hehe. Please respond timely so I know a final count! Can't wait to meet you all.

Also - what do you need from me? Should I share my cell # in case you're running late, you get lost, etc? Does anyone need directions? I'm still new here and love GPS on my iPhone when going anywhere, but some of you may be familiar with the area! Want to know the best parking or closest parking on the Row? Anything else I can help with? Reply here or in your PM telling me you're coming.

Alright, we are at an official 7! There are still two ladies I'm waiting to hear from.

@piperhallie: I'm going to PM you my cell, let me know when you're here! The Borders or Barnes & Noble (whatever it is) is going out of business, we can see if they have any wedding stuff on the cheap hehe

@breezybri19: I'm normally a jeans and tee gal :) I might dress up a lil for you gals, but it depends on what my Fri looks like haha. ps glad to see you're in, I was sad when I read your PM, then came here and saw you were in!

This was by far the brightest spot in my otherwise exceptionally crappy week! Thanks to @Miss Godiva for coordinating the meet :) The night started and ended in perfect WB fashion:

Start -- The reservation was under the name "Miss Godiva"

End -- @breezybri19 and I were exchanging info and she said, "Ooooh! There's a new post!"

Lots of fun conversation and sharing in between, looking forward to next month's meet...yay!

@CDubyaToCJay: Sorry you weren't there, Monterey is definitely welcome to join in the fun :) Hopefully you can make it next month!
