Is there something about the ceremony that says you have to use specific vases? I would assume you could use anything you find and like.

I’m trying to decide the same thing! Amazon has a lot of vases for not too much.

@smellyelly3:  Were doing a sand ceremony because i like the idea that we will have it to look at forever. The only place ive seen them at is Michaels and they are sixty dollars! I think thats ridiculous but it comes with the vase to pour the unity sand in and the other 2 vases for pouring as well as the sand. Plus if you get it with a 40 percent off coupon its awesome!

Actually I want to do both. The candle for us and the sand for our children (we have 2 a piece). But I too think the sand ceremony is a bit overpriced.

This might offend some brides, so there is my warning. Try second hand/thrift stores/dollar stores, Walmart or Target type retailers. They carry vases all sizes and shapes, plus they carry decorative jars/bottles with lids.

I know they are not wedding vases or wedding jars/bottles. However, for indie couples they would work and with a little creativity they can be unique.

I’m not doing anything like that because for us they have no meaning and seem like just a motion to go through. But if I WAS I would probably pick sand I liked (save-on-crafts.com has a million colors) and a cool vase I would want in my home. Hobby Lobby, MIchaels, target, everyone has really cool vases for aonly a few bucks.

^^ I agree with the dollar store thing. You can probably get the exact same thing.

Whats your budget? Just googling there are some nice sets for under 60$
