Is someone singing, or is it just instrumental?

You could always go with a classical piece, something that doesn’t have lyrics, to avoid the cheese factor.

If you were playing the recorded song, I would say cheesy.  But if it is being interpreted on a harp, I think it would be pretty, and might get a few giggles for the cuteness.  If you want your sand ceremony to have a more serious tone though, I’d choose the Beatles.

I think it’s fine but it always makes me think of the lion king

for our sand ceremony we are having the song ” God bless the broken road” its fitting for us because this is both of ours second marriage…but there is a song you may want to check out called “perfect union” by Matthew Ward.

Oooh, harp and violin! There is a traditional Irish wedding piece called “Give Me Your Hand/Tabhair Dom do Lamh” (sp?) that would sound absolutely beautiful with these two instruments, if that’d be something you’re into. It’s very light and joyful (or should be – just needs to be played at a fast-enough tempo).

If you want something slower, Telemann’s “La Grace” would be gorgeous on those two instruments.

We used “When God Made You” for our sand ceremony. It was awesome!  🙂

(Guy): It’s always been a mystery to me,
How two hearts can come together,
And love can last forever.
But now that I have found you, I believe,
That a miracle has come, when God sends the perfect one.
So gone are all my questions about why,
And I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life

CHORUS

Oh I wonder what God was thinking,
When he created you.
I wonder if He
Knew everything I would need,
Because he made all my dreams come true.
When God made you
He must have been thinking about me.

(Girl): Oooh, I promise that wherever you may go,
Wherever life may lead you,
With all my heart I’ll be there too.
And from this moment on,
I want you to know,
I’ll let nothing come between us,
And I will love the ones you love.
(Guy): So gone are all my questions about why
(Girl echoes): About why

(Duet): Oh, I wonder what God was thinking,
When he created you,
I wonder if He
Knew everything I would need,
Because He made all my dreams come true.
When God made you,
He must have been thinking about me.

BRIDGE

He made the sun;
He made the moon,
To harmonize a perfect tune.
One can’t do without the other;
They just have to be together.
And that is how I know its true,
You’re for me, and I’m for you,
And my world just cant be right,
Without you in my life

CHORUS

(Guy):  He must have heard every prayer I’ve been praying
(Girl echoes):  I’ve been praying
(Both ):  He must have known everything I would need.
When God made you, He must have been thinking about me.
