I haven't been to Sandals, but you should really include Couples resorts in your search as well. We are headed to Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica in May of this year for our honeymoon. All of our research pointed to Couples being more reasonably prices and having better amenities in many cases.
And I know that there are new Secrets resorts opening that have good deals right now in Montego Bay. They would have similar offerings as Sandals.

The one main thing I'm worried about is picking a hotel I don't really like. I know there are some hotels that are older and smaller, but I really like the newer built hotels with more amenities. There are so many hotels and islands, I have no clue which one is which.
I am looking into Couples Negril. I have been doing a lot of research and Sandals Negril looks awesome but at least $500 more expensive!
I think the Sandals resorts sound great! I myself have not been to one, but a girl from my work just got back from her honeymoon..they went to the Sandals in St Lucia, and she sound it was awesome! They had so much to do and even got a few free upgrades! It sounds amazing!
I have been to the Sandals Grande in St Lucia and will be going to Whitehouse for our honeymoon. I love it as its very relaxing and calm
Been to Sandals in Jamaica. We stayed at Montego Bay and as they recommend, we visited and dined and played at the others while there. Montego Bay is the least nice. If you are going I would recommend Negril. Sandals montego is right below the airstrip.........errrrrrrghhhhhhhhh
My fiancee and I have booked the Grande St Lucian at Sandals for our honeymoon.
Apparantly the Beach at the Regency is not so great.
The prices are ridiculous...but if the luxury thing is what you're after you will find it there.
We went to Sandals Antigua last summer on a vacation and it was WONDERFUL!!! The property was GORGEOUS, the staff was super friendly, the food was delicious and we had the best vacation ever! I definitely recommend Antigua but I also have confidence that all of the other properties are just as lovely.
We will be honeymooning in Mexico, at Excellence Playa Mujeres. We were all set to go to another Sandals property but we've heard so many great things about Excellence, we decided to try it and the price was better than Sandals at the time. Excellence may be worth you checking out, too!!
My fiance and I are also considering Sandals for our honeymoon. We are not sure which one yet. I just read yesterday that the Dunn's River location is closing in July 2010. I just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone was considering it.
We booked our honeymoon at the Sandals Grand Ocho Rios. We are sooooo excited. We have never been to a Sandals resort, so I can not really tell you anything about them, sorry!
Sandals seems way overpriced to me. A friend spent a week there for her honeymoon in March and said she paid $5000 for the week. We're doing a cruise for two weeks for $3600, so it seems a little pricey to me, but I guess its all about what you like!
I've never been to a Sandals before, but we booked our honeymoon with them. We have a week in Montego Bay (which now I'm reading is not the most elaborate and has planes flying overhead... but whatever, thats what rum is invented for ;) and a week in Negril. I'm looking forward to hanging out on the resort and hopefully venturing out a bit too.
Me and FH are total beach bums, so as long as the sand is clean and the water clear, I think we'll be alright. A vacation is what you make it!

We were looking into Sandals, but after research and suggestions from several travel agents, we decided to go with Couples Swept Away in Negril Jamaica. We got an AMAZING DEAL!!! $1300 for 5 days 4 nights all inclusive. I would totally check it out!!!
we are going to sandals in antigua for our honeymoon! i heard great things about it from a girl I used to work with who went there for her honeymoon. I also have friends who went to St Lucia, I'm not sure which one they stayed at though but I know they had a great time. I know it is a bit pricey, but we looked at it like our honeymoon is a once in a lifetime vacation, and it should be the best one you ever take. and i dont know if its just antigua thats like this, but i priced out other all inclusives in antigua and they were close in price but didnt offer as much...such as Sandals has like 8 restaurants, and these other places had maybe one or two restaurants. so i would always say do your research...there are so many all inclusives out there and depending on where you want to go you can find better deals in alot of cases. but just remember its your honeymoon...its the best time to splurge...if you can!!!

Has or is anyone planning a honeymoon to one of the sandals resorts? We are seriously considering doing this for our honeymoon. I was thinking maybe Jamaica, but we aren't too sure. any thoughts?
