Looks like Sandals is doing a big sale on packages through 2010. Up to 65% off if you book by October 15th.

Do any of you know how common these sales are? It looks like it would be a pretty substantial saving. We will be honeymooning in Mid October 2010, so I am trying to figure out if it would be beneficial to book now or if these offers are pretty common.

    Anyone know?

I'm pretty sure they almost always have a sale going on. Whether or not it 65% off I'm not too sure, but always a sale.

They always have sales going on.  I wouldn't pay attention to if its 65% off vs 50% off.  As they change the base price all the time.  For example we got our stay for $4800 which was a 50% off sale at that time.  Now the room is listed as $5500 which is a 60% off sale per the website.  So obviously that math doesnt add up.

A great benefit of going with sandals is that if the price of your room goes down after you have reserved your stay, all you have to do is contact sandals and they will give you the lower price.  We took advantage of this.  Key thing is that YOU have to bring it to their attention  AND, this option is only available until you pay the full price of your reservation.  So I'd put down the deposit and wait til the last minute to pay it off.

Unfortunately, you cant take advantage of the offers like spa credits that are made available after your initial reservation - as those are for "new reservations only."

and one more thing, I think if you reserve your plane tickets via the sandals website that this may also take away your chances to redeem any lower prices that are made available.  Not positive on that though.  FI and I are using a Sandals travel agent which was been a life saver (and its free service). I have her email, if you'd like to email her.  just pm me.

Fwiw, my sis and bil went to Sandal's two years ago for their yearly anniversary trip and stayed in a rondoval in Antigua.  They loved that resort!

They couldn't say enough nice things about Sandals Antigua!
