I haven’t been to a Sandals resort but my aunt did go 2 years ago to the one in Jamaica. It was being renovated at that time in the section they put her & her friend in. She requested a different room & they didn’t have anything available. She said the people that were doing the construction were rude & constantly yelling, etc. She was so miserable she booked the next flight out of there!

My Darling Husband and I spent our honeymoon at Sandals Royal Bahamian and LOVED it!  We stayed in the Royal Village in the Honeymoon Royal Villa Suite.  We absolutely loved being in a small villa, away from the rest of the resort.  Hands down the best feature of this resort is the private island.  You really feel like you are in another world on that island, yet you’re only a 10 minute boat ride from the resort.  Honestly, the only thing that we complained about was the crappy weather the first few days, and there’s nothing you can do to control that!  I guess if I had to get nit picky, I would say they could improve their food.  We had “prime rib” one night that was most definitely not prime rib, but whatever cut of steak it was, it was still good. lol  If we had stayed in the main part of the resort, I don’t think we would have liked it as much.  Being in the villas, away from the rest of the resort was just so awesome.  I highly recommend this resort.  Now, with that said, I am DYING to go to Antigua and stay in one of those rooms w/ a plunge pool….ahhh…hopefully the pictures load.  PM me if you want more info! Oh, and I can only get one pic to load, but I will say all the pics on Sandals’ website were very accurate!
