When we thought about doing the St. Lucia honeymoon, we were going to go to the Grande resort. We want the beach. We ended up going to Mexico though (glad we did, all the hurricanes during our honeymoon time were all in the eastern Atlantic).
I've stayed at the Sandals Halcyon. It was a lot smaller than the other two, but I felt more like a getaway compared to the other two bigger Sandals.
I stayed at the Grande and LOVED it! and you can take the shuttle to the other resorts. We liked how big it was so that there were plenty of quiet and alone spots.
Help ladies. We are going to book our honeymoon in the next week and we still can't decide which Sandals to go to. Any insight?
I stayed at the Regency and it was AMAZING! It had more restaurants (I"m a foodie) and the staff was amazing! We had the next to lowest level room and it was gorgeous. The grounds were beautiful,and I liked the beach a lot. I would definitely recommend it! If you have anymore questions about it, PM me. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
We stayed at the regency, and just loved it there. We were able to go over to the Grande which seemed nice, but way too "grand" for our tastes. It just seemed like it was way too big. The regency was nice because you'd see familiar faces at dinner and run into people you met during the day on side trips. PM me if you want pics - we took some of the room and around the grounds. We'd go back in a second!!
When we were looking at St. Lucia, we were liked the St. Lucia Grande because it was a Spa & Beach Resort. The Regency is more of a Golf resort, and we are not golfers! We live on the coast of Texas and we love to fish! But, we ended up booking our honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico because our travel agent told us we would basically be losing a whole day of our honeymoon just to travel to St. Lucia.

My fiance and I are researching honeymoons and we have decided we like the idea of all-inclusive. We are adventerous and love the excursions available in St. Lucia. Which honeymoon would you choose? We have narrowed it down between the two. The Regency seems to have more beautiful grounds/rooms but the Grande has a more beautiful beach. I know we can visit either one but I want to pick the right one for us. Opinions? If you have stayed at any Sandals or one of these resorts I would love to hear your opinion. If you have stayed at a different all-inclusive resort that you recommend I would also love to hear any new ideas. Thank you!
