    Hi Bee's,

On part of our honeymoon in St. Lucia, we stayed at a Sandals (La Toc), we enjoyed the resot chain so much that we put a deposit down for our next Sandals trip (in order to lock in a good rate)...so we chose Sandals Whitehouse.  Now on trip advisor, I'm reading different reviews on the beach...one of the reasons why we chose Jamaica, was so that we could swim (safely).  At La Toc the water was way too rough and they had red flags (no swimming) every day we were there.  How is the beach at Whitehouse? Is it swimmable?

    Thanks!

Didn't go to Whitehouse, but we went to a Couples resort in Negril...beach and water was awesome!  Green flag every day :)  What city are you going to?

Thanks for your feedback. We would fly into Montego Bay and drive out 45 minutes.

Negril is supposed to have the best beaches in all of Jamaica.  I stayed in Montego Bay for my wedding and the beach was ok.  but definitely swimmable. it was more the sand part was not that big and there were some rocks in the water that were not fun to step on.  but they were not everywhere.  i wish i had listened more to the resort reviews about the beach. i didnt stay at sandals though, our resort was about 15 mins from the airport.  Negril was gorgeous.
