DH and I stayed there on NYE, they had a pretty good deal and we got wristbands for free drinks for our entire stay so we thought why not, all the other hotels were either sold out or really, really expensive. Well, the hot water sucks. It took about 10 minutes for the shower to warm up and then it only stayed warm for about 5 minutes and thats if the person in the room next to you doesn't turn on their water. The carpets were stained, there was no coffee in the room (even the little dinky hotels that cost $20 bucks a night have coffee in the room!) and here is the worst part of all - our room had bed bugs!!!
I am so disgusted right now. We didn't realize it was bed bugs until we got home and were able to look it up online. We though that maybe I was just allergic to the detergent used on the linens. DH doesn't really have any bites that we can see, but he has pretty hairy arms and legs so it is hard to tell. I on the other hand have red bumps all over my legs, arms, and torso. I called and talked to 3 different people and all they did was take my statement. I have to call back on Tuesday when some director is back in the office. All I want is my money back or at least part of it back. We are in the process of washing everything that we had so hopefully we don't bring any back.
Has anyone else had to deal with bed bugs at a hotel? What was the outcome? Did you get compensated at all?
