@MrsPaperFlowers:  I SWEAR by Zoya. I absolutely hate Nicole by OPI. I have literally more than 80 zoya polishes, LOL. For their regular colors, I HIGHLY suggest investing in their top and base coats to use with their polishes. It takes longer to dry than a quick-drying coat (Posche or Seche Vite for instance), but my manis last for a week unchipped! Keep in mind though, I don’t think they recommend a base OR top coat for their textured polishes, and textures and mattes in general have a shorter wear time. Matte polishes chip on my hands in about 2 days, whereas their regular ones will go 6-7 days. I’m only saying this because I know girls I’ve recommended this brand to who hated it because it didn’t last – but they weren’t using any sort of base or top coats with it. I’m a nail polish addict and those base and top coats work better with that brand than any other combo I’ve tried.

Most of their colors you need 2-3 light coats, but their formula is not thick or goopy. It’s more comparable to regular OPI (not the Nicole brand). Hope that helps a bit!

I just bought a bottle of Sally Hansen Sugar Coat today! OPI also has Liquid Sand.

@MrsPaperFlowers:  I think opi has a sand line! I tried one on vacation once-it was a pretty red/gold with a rough finish like you’re describing. 🙂

Another person here recommending Zoya. Love that brand and it lasts really well! I always order when there are promos – usually you can get 3 polishes for free if you just pay shipping, so I get three nice colors for about $7.
