Bee’s… I just love sapphires and think they are great stones. And I actually like natural and lab created for different reasons.
Tell me why you love or hate sapphires. And for the record please feel free to tell everyone how many times per hour, day, week or month you clean your stone. Theres always much concern amoung those who have not owned these stones before on exactly how dirty they get and how often. I am going to get a sapphire for my right hand ring and I have to say I’m not worried one bit over the stone getting dirty.
Feel free to post scientific information, cuts or just beautiful pictures.

I love them. The e-ring I have picked out has blue sapphires in the band, but can’t convince BF that a white sapphire would be a perfect center stone for the ring. He’s pretty dead set on a diamond.
I do have a pair of hand-me-down earrings from my mom that are sapphires (her birthstone), and they’re pretty old, but still look good. I know she has several pieces of jewelry from my dad w/ sapphires in them, and has had no problems keeping them looking clean and brand new.

my mom took sapphires from my grandmother’s jewlery and made me a pendant on a pearl necklace for my wedding, it is beautiful.

I can’t imagine why anyone would hate sapphires! They’re gorgeous! I originally wanted a rich blue sapphire for my engagement ring, but my husband stongly preferred something white instead. I plan on getting a sapphire for my right hand when we have a baby in either blue or purple, depending on the gender. (Not a huge fan of pink)
I love sapphires because they last, they come in so many different colors and shades, and look great in a variety of cuts.

I like really big sapphires! My mother has a 5carat Ceylon sapphire ring and it’s such a beautiful ring. She was willing to let me pick a hand-me-down diamond for my engagement ring, but was unwilling to let me get anywhere near that sapphire, lol! I would love an oval blue sapphire ring on a split shank diamond band. A girl can dream 🙂

I love sapphires..though I wouldn’t want one as my main stone in my engagement ring. I have a light pink sapphire eternity band I wear on my right hand. I also really love blue sapphires and would love to own one someday.

I love my sapphire e-ring! I always knew I wanted color but wasn’t sure if diamond or a gem was the way to go. Glad I did a sapphire!

I love them 🙂 but I’m a little partial with a color changing sapphire engagement ring.

I love sapphires, especially deep blue ones! My engagement ring is all diamond, but my wedding band will be a dainty blue sapphire eternity band. My grandmother who passed away gave me her favorite piece of jewelry, which is a blue sapphire and diamond pendant necklace, and I wear it often in memory of her. I guess they have a double meaning for me 🙂

My e-ring is a perfect white sapphire, mined in Sri Lanka. I clean it about once a week with a toothbrush and that keeps it just beautiful. I love how sapphires sparkle so brilliantly in indoor light and have a beautiful glow outside. There is really nothing quite like it. I definitely want a pink sapphire someday for my right hand.

I love sapphires so much. I’ve always wanted something different, and I love the colour variety sapphires offer. Mine is blue:

Sapphires are awesome! I wear mine when I shower and never really have to clean it unless I’ve moisturosed my hands or done something messy

I have a ruby, or red/pink sapphire. I love a coloured stone! My mum had a dark blue sapphire in her original ering, it was almost black.
