I am not familiar with your venue but my tip for finding a cost efficient venue is to look into city/town and state owned venues. See if there is a nice place locally that offers a special rate for residents of your city. Unfortunately, we were not residents but my town owned property was in a great location and would have cost half the price ie we had been residents. This opten applies to historic mansions, beach pavillions and other community or historic buildings.
I haven't been there myself, but I know people who got married there and really enjoyed the whole process. Since you provide your own caterer I would suggest looking at different ones to find one that fits your budget - we are going with Nicole's, they are great to work with and quite reasonable, IMO.
@JuniperBerry: I’m from the area and I know that venue well. I’ve never been to an event there but I have attended bridal shows and what not. I can’t give you much advice as far as the venue goes other than its beautiful and EXPENSIVE.
We were married this past October in Lake George. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me or post them here. I’ll help any way I can.

Hi! I am a new bee. Trying to get things planned on my own budget and finding it very difficult to find a beautiful venue and put together a wedding on a budget. One venue I have found and become quite smitten with is the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga, NY. Has anyone had a wedding at this venue? I have emailed them requesting information, but haven't gotten a response yet.
If so, I would appreciate any tips, rate information, hidden fees, etc.
Also, any tips for Fall weddings in NY would be immensly appreciated! :)
Thank you so much!!!
