I would love to have your input on which is more flattering for a bride with a thick waist: A thin sash or a thich sash? I am 5’6, 120 lbs, size 4, and wearing a beautiful ivory trumpet style lace wedding dress for a winter wedding. The sash sold at the store where I purchased my dress seems awfully thick to me and I am considering ordering something from Etsy once I know whether to order thick or thin. If you happen to know the width of flattering sashes for thick waisted girls, please share! Thanks so much!
My measurments (to give you an idea) are 34, 27.5, 36.

I wore a really thick sash with a couple of wraps, and really cinched in down. My dimensions are almost identical to yours.

A thick sash tends to be more slimming and show off a waist more than a thin one. I say go thicker!

I would go into a bridal salon and try on a bunch of sashes of different thickness and find out what you think looks best on your waist. Then order based on that thickness. But I would think for your measurements a 2-2.5″ wide should be perfect. (I know Alfred Angelo has a plain 1″, 2″ and 3″ to try on)
The sash should “fit” into your waist to make you look smaller. I am short torsoed and I have a small waist, so I would need a smaller sash (about 1-2″).
