@futuremrscap:  I think it’s a good idea- definitely defines your waist more. Maybe a slightly different colour or something with a bit of bling will really set it off!

I feel like thag particular sash does nothing for the dress. With the way the skirt comes up a sash may look like its too much going on. I say no sash.

I would wait until your dress comes in and is altered before picking a sash. You may not need the “definition” of you waist once the dress is properly fitted.

I like the idea of a belt, but I think a super thin blingy one (like 1″ wide) would look better!

I don’t like this sash, but I think a different sash could be cute.  Maybe something blingy or with a pop of color.  I think the ribbon in the picture blends in too much with the bodice.

I think a sash would look weird with that particular ballgown. The ribbon one, definitely looks off.

I think that maybe this particular sash blends a bit too much, but I do like how the dress looks with a sash (:

Maybe get the sash in the same color as your bolero to tie them together and bring the color in somewhere else in your outfit.

I’m putting in my vote for no sash. I think once you have the dress all laced up properly then it really won’t need it! If you have your heart set on a sash, I’d definitely go with one that isn’t as subtle.

It’s hard to make an informed assessment at this stage because your dress is so loose right now. I would wait until it’s fitted properly before deciding on the sash – you may very well not need one.
