Hi! My Allure gown has a narrow sash stitched just above the waist but it seems to pucker at the point of those stitches. It’s held on the side and either twice or three times across the front. The imperfection is driving me nuts. It won’t lay flat.
What does anyone think about cutting the stitches free across the front? Will the sash droop? the consultant insisted the sample dress sash looked funny because it was clipped snug, but now I’m not so sure…like maybe some double sided tape would do a better job since there’s no tightness at this part of the dress.
While I’m at it, the illusion back is snug but there is definitely extra space in the cups. I’m wondering if releasing the lace overlay in front and under the arms will give it some room to move or just hope it stretches…? Style is 9166. I can’t imagine losing weight…in my rib cage or back…?? My extra weight is in my thighs, and at 5’6″ 120lbs, exercise is more likely to broaden my back and shoulders…I think. I would be mortified if one of the button elastics let go and POP!
I promise this post is about a sash. 😉
