I have been around for a while, and loved reading all the nice topics and advice. Now it’s time for me to seek your advice!
I have chosen my dress, but am in doubt about a sash/ribbon to go with my dress. I have ordered the dress in Ivory over an ivory underlayer, so not a champagne underlayer like the sample I am wearing in the pictures. Which color sash would look best? Champagne, coral/peach or ivory, or no sash at all? I would order a raw silk sash, not satin.
We are having a rustic garden wedding…
Me in the sample dress with Champagne satin ribbon:
I love this color coral/peach color:

@sperie: Love your dress! It’s so romatic and very flattering. I prefer the champagne sash. I feel like the coral/peach would take away from the beauty of your dress.

@sperie: either champagne or coral would be lovely- just depends if you want a more subtle or bold look. I voted champagne!

I voted ivory. I like the detail of the sash, but think it should be the same color as the dress 🙂

Since I’m not a fan of sashes, I would go without.

@sperie: Beautiful dress and you look amazing. I voted peach/coral sash as it will be a great pop of colour against the ivory of your dress. Is peach / coral going to be one of your colours?

Mixed opinions, I am wondering where this will go 😉
@MissWellies: The dress has no boning (one of the reasons I love it, it’s so comfortable), so I have the feeling I need something in the waist. I also very often wear dresses with a belt or ribbon, so it would be very “me”. My only consideration is, that it divides me in 2, as I am already not that tall (understatement)…
@blueEyes90: Thank you! No dress regret so far!
@Catylady We don’t really have a color theme since it’s going to be more rustic and natural with wood and burlap, but I think coral/peach will pop up in some details. But I will go with coral and peach flowers in my bouquet! Oh, and I’ll wear coral/peach lipstick!

@sperie: Definetly coral / peach then.
Edit: let us know what you choose.

@sperie: Personally, I’m not a fan of colored sashes on wedding dresses. However, if it’s your style, I think it would be really pretty! Especially with your rustic/ burlap decor!

Your dress is absoluately gorgeous! I think that coral sash would be a perfect pop of color!

I will order a coral sash, and see how it goes with my dress! Thank you ladies!!

I like it with a sash. The bow in the back looks really really pretty, especially with the long ribbon tails (I don’t know what they’re called). I voted for ivory, but I think that it would be really pretty with a little bit of bling on the ribbon, in the front only though.

@sperie: Yay! Superb choice (I’m biased though as I voted coral)!

I usually would vote for a champagne sash, but, in this case, I voted for ivory. Your dress is so beautiful, and the ivory lace is so elegant, I think an ivory sash would complete the look perfectly without any distractions.
You can always bring in your love of coral in your bridesmaids’ dresses and/or flowers. 🙂
