So I previously posted about choosing between two dresses, but since then I’ve found what I think is THE dress. I just need to decide whether to get it in silk taffeta or duchess satin.
I don’t like how taffeta can resemble shiny polyester and much prefer the sheen and feel of satin, especially for my winter wedding. Plus I don’t think taffeta looks as good in photos taken indoors without natural light (I checked out photos in the satin v. taffeta threads). The problem? Satin costs an extra $700!! Otherwise I’d pick the satin in a heartbeat. $700 is a lot when I’m wearing the dress for ONE day.
Bees, what do you think, would this particular dress look ok in satin taffeta? What did you prefer for your own wedding dress and why? Thanks!
(Dress pictured is in silk taffeta but it’s been photoshopped or something. Unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed to take pix in the dressing room. I would wear this with the beaded cap sleeve jacket but not the sash.)
