My save the dates are bookmark size: 2×8. I tried putting them in a regular size envelope, but I don’t like how that looks – the envelope is WAY too big. Any ideas or suggestions on how I can send these out without having to buy custom size envelopes!
I have attached a pic of the size difference.

Is that a business size envelope? What about the smaller standard size?

Maybe look around for envelopes made for tickets. I found a few websites, but try something like this:
I have definitely seen that style of envelope in stationary/craft stores before, so there are probably some nice color/paper options.

Isn’t it possible to make your own envelopes? I’m not crafty but I bet it can’t be too difficult with maybe a ruler and a protractor and some scissors?????

Maybe you can create a 3.875 x 9.25 “card” and create 2 diagonal slots. Then place the STD bookmark in the slots for a snug fit into the envelope?

(those dimensions because i’m assuming its an 4.125 x 9.5 Business envelope….)Need enclosure size to be .125″ smaller on all sides to fit right.

I agree with krissybee… making a card to slip the bookmark into would be so cute! It will also add a little “oomph” to the overall appeal to the STD 🙂
