My partner and I are eloping, and we’ve run into the same issue with elopement announcements – most people we’d send them to are couples, so we’ll only need 20 or so. Argh! I feel your pain! It’s so frustrating that they assume everyone’s having a huge guest list.

damarajade:  I imagine you can probably find someone who can do something similar for less.  Chances are the minimum has to do with the printing minimums the seller deals with.  I would plan on ordering a few extras (keepsakes, just incase you mess up an address/name – it happens)

damarajade:  I feel your pain. We’re invited about 25 people so it’s only like 12-15 invites and it’s so frustrating! I’ll probably just end up printing them myself

Can you do them on Vistaprint? I believe they can do alot smaller lots.

damarajade:  Those are cute! I betcha you can get them made by a graphic designer and print them on vistaprint!

I am not sure about copyright issues… maybe if you use a stock photo and design the text yourself? It would certainly make them more personal and vistaprint if fairly inexpensive (If you catch them with a coupon then they are super inexpensive).  We did our invites and thank you cards through them and they came out beautiful and were within budget:)

Not sure how well it’ll work, but why not try your luck with fiverr on the design? If you don’t love what they come up with, you only wasted $5.

damarajade:  Congrats on deciding to get married in Maine. It’s my home state and it’s beautiful, there isn’t anything else quite like it. There has got to be a cheaper way to incorporate Maine into your save the dates. If you need pictures, I may be able to help you in that department. Or you may be able to get some cheap Maine postcards that can be printed on. Where are you getting married?
