Haha you gals are funny! I am still confused myself so you’re not alone.

Don’t mean to be a party pooper, but I have to voice how much I dislike "TIA". It’s like saying, I need advice, can you give it to me? But I am going to read them and never come back to say Thank You to you. Am I wrong and just interpreting it differently?

Hey, this is awesome!

One that I noticed is missing is "FH" for "Future Husband," which I’ve seen some people use.

And count me in on the weird STD thing. In all my personal notes, I wrote it as StD, b/c that made me feel less grossed out, esp. when I had a column in my spreadsheet called "sent StD"…ew!

I was talking to a girlfriend who had no clue about weddings or "online wedding jargon". I kept saying STD STD and she looked at me all funky. I had to clarify Oh, You know, a Save the Date card, duh! Not an ehem STD.

Hee hee…no worries ladies, I had to ask this same question myself in my earlier planning days! I actually didnt know what an E-ring was!  I thought it was some sort of "online" thing you got, like an E-mail…ha ha ha!

I’m not sure what a Dirty Delete is…i have a feeling its when you write a post, get flamed by others, and then delete (because you regret writing it and you’re upset with the responses youre getting) it even though some people have already read it?  Just a wild guess.

What a helpful post! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one confused! Thanks to you, Lani, for asking it and to you, penguin, for clarifying the abbreviations!

It took me forever to learn what FI and HTH meant. Another one I see is "GL" which means good luck and "SO" for significant other.
