This is our Save The Date Mock-up. When we get the hi-res images we will use those. What do you think so far? We can change anything and we aren't so headstrong that we wont accept suggestions.

I had a lot of people tell me to make sure I put "Save the Date" and "Formal invitation to follow" on the STD somewhere or guests would be confused as to what it is. Otherwise I love it! :)

I agree with the previous post...add a few details and it's perfect!

How would you suggest I add that to prevent it from becoming too busy?

I agree with @KaitlinHudson. What about instead of "We're getting married!" put "Save the Date" and then in place of where your photographers stamp is, you could put "formal invitation to follow". Or will that stamp be there in the final product?

@UpstateCait: The stamp is required to be on there. If they leave it off when we get our pictures then we will replace it w/ "formal invitation to follow" but if it stays, we can't take it off. Besides, even if we tried it would be crazy difficult.

I think it's nice as a guest to have the location on there as well. That does create a lot of wording for a little space, though. Are you sending these out as post cards or mailers in an envelope? If it's not a magnet, you can probably include the location and the formal invitation to follow wording on the back.

@NDBee: They will be magnets but we put our website on there in hopes that people would go there to look for the wedding location and maybe stay for the other important information. Is that crazy or unrealistic?

@kfricke89: I would kind of hope that the stamp would be off when you get your final copies. If not, will that stamp be on your wedding pictures too or are you going with a different photographer for your wedding? But yea, photoshopping that could be tricky with the pinstripes.

We're including our wedding website on out STD's too and I hope people actually look at the site (that I SLAVED on for days!). I've found that most women will check out the site while most men could give a crap about it.

I think they are nice! If you already included the website, guests will have access to the information. There are only so many words that fit on a magnet. :)

@UpstateCait: I doubt they will be on the final copies so we could definately add that there. Thanks!

And yeah, I REALLY hope people actually take the time to check the website. We are doing our best to make sure that is the one-stop-shop for everything wedding right now. And Mr. Shef slaved away building it from scratch for weeks! I am hoping my lack of a location will guide them to the website.

I would add "Save the Date" underneath "We're Getting Married" and leave your names off. People will know whose save the date it is.

Also, your final photos shouldn't have a watermark on them like that. If they do, I'd ask your photographer to take it off. That would be a great spot to add "Formal Invitation to follow" as well as your wedding website.

I'd add Save the Date and possible the town. Also leave your names on it if you plan on sending them to any parents friends or colleagues who might not know you.

I'd still leave your names off even if you send it to any lesser known people. You'll have your names on the outside of the envelope. And hopefully anyone getting one would know your name.

Maybe you can add a little card to go with the magnet? I like how it looks - you can buy a package of "business card" sheets from staples and print on them: We're getting married, names, save the date! Website, city state and formal invite to follow

That way people have all the info, your magnet still looks this way, and you haven't added any dramatic cost.

i would either mount the magnet on a card with the additional info (last names, location, website, etc) or attach a business card-type tag with ribbon (i think miss brooch did that?)
