Question: I've been to over 20 weddings in the past few years and not once have I received a STD. Are they becoming more common?

@helly: I think more and more people are sending them, particularily by email, and especially for destination weddings or where there is travel involved. Ours, while not a destination wedding, will involve 70% of the guest list coming from out of town, so the STD gives them a chance to plan for it and secure a hotel.

Just kidding. That's my stock response for things I like. I love the fall color scheme, and the design is so cute.
Question - Are you sure you want to send them out during the holidays? They might get looped into holiday mail, and forgotten about. You might want to wait unil January so they will be noticed and saved somewhere special.

@JrzyGurl: Good thought- were keeping our paper to a minimum to be as green as possible, so they were sent via email. I think we are going to be ok...

Hi all- just about to send out my save the date, so happy with how it turned out that I wanted to share it with the board. FI's step sister is doing all of our design work, so the invitations, programs, and placecards will all have the same theme. She's done an absolutely fabulous job!
