I sent a Save the Date to our photographer just because she’s from out of town and it had all of the lodging and transportation information in it. I think it’s ettiquette to send an invite to your officiant, not that he/she is really a vendor.

I sent one to the vendors we had at the time we made them. They really liked the sentiment!

I sent STD to our photographer (since he took the pic that we used in our STD) and our DOC. Our photographer loved seeing how great they turned out.

What about invites?  Do we send invites to vendors?  I sent one to my officiant, but what about others?

I’m a vendor and whenever I get an invitation to one of my weddings (which is rare) I love it. I think it’s sweet and it gives me a feel for how the wedding is going to be. But if they’re like super expensive or something I wouldn’t worry about it. I don’t think you NEED to.

I have some extra invites, so I think I will send them to my vendors. I’m not doing save the dates, so I think this will be a nice gesture.  I was wondering if I should include a "thank you for…. (photographing my wedding, etc) with the invite?
