We are having a beach destination wedding in Ponta Malongane, Southern Mozambique. It is approximately 4.5 hours drive from our home town. We went to Moz on a wedding recci a few weeks ago and filmed our Save the Date video whilst we were there.
We filed this on a Canon 550D using the Utlity software that comes with the camera. This software offers an intervelometer (time lapse) feature. We set it to take a photo every 6 seconds, so as you can imagine we had to really do all our movements in slow motion.
We then uploaded all the photos into FinalCut added some effects and Bobs your uncle! We were super stoked with the result so we wanted to share this easy and cost effective Save the Date option!
Here is the link 🙂
Oh ya, we also had help from 2 friends. The one would run and write a few letters on the boards inbetween shots and the other watched the screen to let us know when each pic was being taken, this helped to ensure that we were always ready for each shot.

Love love love it! Gave me goosebumps it was so cute. And what I love most about it is that it really shows off your personalities. In 10 years or so your kids will laugh, laugh, laugh at their goofy dad. 🙂
