Yeah don't bother with "and Guest" for the Save the Date. That's more for a formal wedding invitation with an RSVP, etc.
I'm about to start hand addressing mine too. Not looking forward to it!
Congratulations on your STDs arriving!!!!
...still in agony waiting for mine... :)
Thanks guys! Kittyachi- we are getting married around the same time/around the same place!! (im in Sept in Stonington)
I put '& Guest" for the few people who I know have an SO, but they aren't engaged or whatever yet. That way, they know that I'm not leaving the SO out. But, I also didn't want to list their names for a couple reasons (one of the guys is a little flaky and this & Guest may be a different & Guest come October, and another I don't have the spelling of her last name, and a third is because I put & Guest for the others!).
@Kiki - FUN! I love it there. Which venue are you at? I'm at Branford House in Groton but I looked at a bunch in the area. OH, also, do you have a makeup artist yet? The one I found that I loved was booked and the other one I contacted hasn't gotten back to me in over a week which, in my book, is bad business and I don't trust her now.
Saltwater Farm Vineyard. Fell in love with it! The Branford House is gorgeous- my brother went to school at Avery Point so ive been in there. I don't have a make up artist, I think im going to wind up doing it myself- I dont even have someone to do my hair!! Do you have a hair person? That I definately can't do on my own.
No I don't have a hair person yet either. Hair and makeup is my next order of business. I wish I could DIY my makeup but I have problem skin and scars and I need a pro to cover up all that jazz and make me look normal :)

I just got my save the dates in the mail (yay!) and am about to tackle hand addressing them. There are a few people on my list that are being invited with a guest, though I do not know the guests name. I find it awkward to put: Sara Smith and Guest on the envelope for a casual save the date. And it will be a real plus one, not like a boyfriend whose name I can find out- like single people invited to bring a "date"
Does anyone know what the etiquette here is? Can I just put "Sara Smith" on the SvThDt and leave the guest for the invite?
Gracias!
