OMG!!! I wrote this whole topic and it didn’t post. 🙁
Anyway, back to the subject. 🙂
I have Save the Dates ready to go – but when can I officially send them? (I’m keen!)
Important things to note – we are having a Friday wedding, it’ll be half way through school holidays and about 10% – 15% will need to travel interstate. It will also be in our “nice” season where we live so there is literally something on every weekend for a solid three months.
We are getting married 26 June 2015 so I’m think sending them out a year out should work.
Also, when are invitations sent? I’ve seen as little as 3 – 6 weeks before the wedding up to 3 – 6 months before!
Please help me bees!

You already have your venue booked, right? I’d recommend sending your save the dates in July or later. If you send the earlier, ppl will get confused and think the wedding is in 2014.
For invites, if this is not a destination wedding and you don’t have an unusually early date to tell venue/caterers your final guest count, then mailing invites at 6-8 weeks is typical.

I wouldnt send them out until 6-8 months prior. A year and people will forget. Anyone who is important/super close to you guys anyway, is likely to set that date aside for you when you tell them your date verbally. All other people will put that STD on the side and never think of it again.
Wedding invitations are usually anywhere from 6-10 weeks. Depends on who your inviting/type of wedding your having.
