I don’t know if you can fix them.  Maybe post a pic so we can see the postcard?

I would just scratch doing them at all.

we got 100 for 20 bucks at nextdayflyer.com – easy and cheap.  They send the next day too so hurry up so you don’t have to pay for postage for the people you’ll see at the holidays!

I know it must feel like a huge deal, but save the dates are relatively minor. Some brides don’t even send them at all! If you can’t afford to make more, don’t. Also, I don’t think your FI can’t be trusted with anything – I write our wedding date as “9/5/2009” all the time, actually ๐Ÿ™‚ Texting him instructions while half asleep sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Regarding your wedding being disorganized and last-minute, is it an issue of not having enough time? If that’s the case, forget all the little extras and focus on getting the main elements in place ahead of time. You have a good few months until your wedding and you can definitely get everything done – some brides plan the whole wedding in that amount of time!

PS I got my STDs printed for free through a UPrinting giveaway – they have some going on right now all over the blogosphere, so you might want to try entering a few. The odds are usually pretty good ๐Ÿ™‚

If you can’t afford to re-do them, then I just wouldn’t hand them out at all unless you want to explain the mistake to everyone you hand one out to.

The whole “obviously, I can’t let me FI help me anymore” thing bothers me… writing the wrong year is an easy mistake to make, so it seems pretty harsh to cut him out of any future planning because of it.

you could always get a piece of poster board, write your date on it and take a pic of you holding it. then photoshop the words save the date on to it and have it printed as photos at costco or walmart, they are like 16 cents each and they will be done in time!

I was going to suggest what vistagirl said!

Or, Vistaprint (hmm that’s ironic) has an email sign up you can do for 100 free postcards, you just pay shipping, which can be as little as $6 and comes in wayyyy faster than they say.

Good luck!

Also regarding STD’s, I ordered 200 from vistaprint for about $30.  I get coupons all the time now for free ones, of course.

i suggest getting a cute sticker of some sort to cover it up. or make your own that says the correct date. i wouldn’t think anything of it if i got one.

Oh, cute picture! And yeah, someone might suspect something… but who cares? Life’s too short to worry about little mistakes. ๐Ÿ™‚ Good job fixing it!
