@GingerSnapped19:  I think it is approrpiate to send them out now. We sent ours out 9 months from the date. I would have sent them out sooner since we got married over 4th of July time, but it didn’t matter. People knew if they could or couldn’t come.

I would send them either immediately or a week after Xmas is over.  I know someone getting married a week before you, and she is waiting until the holidays are over because people will be in their hometowns and not overwhelmed with holiday stuff.

im assuming you mean 2014. but anyway.. I just sent out save the dates on facebook, only to far away guests. I didnt find it necessary for any one else. Our wedding is June 2014 and I sent mine out about a month ago. I dont know if that is too early but for out of town guests I would assume not.

@GingerSnapped19:  We sent ours in early October for our May wedding. I would wait until at least after the first of the year…and you don’t want your STDs to get lost in the holiday mail.

we’re getting married 6 days before you, and ours will go out mid-january. i want to make sure that they go out after christmas, because i don’t want them to get mixed into the christmas card mess.

I’m planning on sending mine out 9-12 months before the wedding.  We’ll have a good amount of people who need to travel, so I want to make sure they have plenty of time to book flights, request time off if need be, etc.

@GingerSnapped19:  Our wedding is next July and we’re sending them out next week, but my family has been asking about the date and hotel information already. I think people generally say 4-6 months out but I prefer 6-8 months when I have to make travel plans, especially if it includes a flight. I don’t think it would be bad to send them out, but it might make sense to wait since you have some time and you don’t want them getting lost in the holiday mail shuffle!

@GingerSnapped19:  I’m going to send mine out next week and my wedding is next September. Definitely do it now or hold off until after January 1.

I would wait, I sent mine around 6 months before and that is still plenty of time! and my wedding is a few days before Christmas…

Exactly what I want to know. Im getting married 10/12/2014 and was starting to wonder when I need to send these darn things out. Seems like I should get to shopping!

My wedding is a few weeks before yours and I am planning to send mine in January.  Most of my guests are out of state, otherwise I’d wait a little bit longer on mine.  I could send them sooner because I just finished designing the STD cards, but I’d rather not get them lost among Christmas cards and craziness.
