#1- it has a more elegant feel.

I like the first one.  The second one looks a little awkward with him kneeling.   His back knee doesn’t look like it’s touching the floor.

But they are both really cute!

#1 – they’re clearer.  I really had to look for the info on the second one, whereas it just pops out at you on the first one!

#1 is very classy and elegant. Although I love that you can see your rockin’ heels in the 2nd one. I’d go with 1 since it fits your theme better.

I voted number 1 because I think you’re getting more of the formal message across. But, I also think there are some distractions about number 2. As you mentioned, it’s much harder to read. I also think that showing the whole photo takes away from the message. As @MichiganBride2012 mentioned, his knee on the helmet is something people will focus on while trying to read the message. I also thought the bandage on his hand was a little distracting and may make people wonder about an injury instead of focusing on the news of your union. Even the lines of your skirt kind of draw the eye up once you start to read the word “save.”

I don’t want you to think I’m nitpicking the picture, it’s just these are the details that capture more attention because of the text. It is a cute photo, and I can see why you love it. I just think the information about your wedding – the entire purpose of the mailing – gets lost.

#1, looks more finished and a lot easier to read.
