I sent mine about 6 months before our wedding so you are close to that time line.
I sent mine out in late February, we have some out of towners so I wanted to make sure they have plenty of time to plan ahead.
If we can get our acts together and get a good picture taken, I'm hoping to get them out in early April.
The STDS, invites, gathering addresses, choosing designs, etc...are surprisingly one of the things that 1) I'm the least interested in and 2) stress me out the most.
I'll be so glad when we get the STD out at least!

We're marrying just after you and about 94% of our guests are out of town'ers...We sent all of our STD's out on Feb 22 - that way our guests have ample time to save $$ if they have to book airfares and hotels 
KJKJ and Jackie-O, all of my family is from out of town...I am starting to feel like I waited to long now!! Oh no!!
@PrncssDva - - no no no doll don't feel like you waited too long..Its family, they probably know of your wedding correct!?!?!? No worries - you're fine. Originally I was going to send them out on 3/15 but all the October brides here on WB had already sent theirs out so I spoke with my invitation gal and we kicked our gears up a notch!!!
We sent ours out in late February. FMIL and FSFIL live in Panama, FBIL lives in Florida, FFIL and FSIL/BM live in California. So just getting FH's family here will be a struggle...not to mention my dad's cousins in Israel, my sorority big sis in Scotland....too many OOTs!
I sent mine out in early March. About 95% of mine and my fiance's guests are out of town (we're having it in my hometown where my parents still live, but we actually now live across the country).
Yes, Jackie-O, they know abotu it for the most part. My mom is talking to everyone, lol. And if she doesn't get to them, someone esle will.

I'll be sending mine out 8 months before the wedding since all but two of our guests are from out of town.
I did mine first weekend of march, i really had them ready to go by january and i couldnt wait any longer!
sent 1/2 last week, the other 1/2 (still waiting on addresses from FI..dont get me started on that! lol!)
but it felt REALLY good to get the first half out!! Whoo!
I sent mine out already...I have out of town guests, so I made myself get things together. I mailed them out on the 9th exactly 7 mos to the big day... It was not easy..collecting addresses is tedious!
@Bethesda~ Ugh! I so agree to everything you posted! If I could do e-vites I would...but alas...I'm totally traditional on this one wedding aspect!
I have the Save The Dates ready, I just have to finish getting the addresses and start addressing =( yuck.
we just got ours in this past week so, we're about 50% done addressing them!
You guys are all on top of it! I'm sending mine out 6 months in advance, so the first wk in April. I hope it will be enough time! We are having a destination wedding at Lake Tahoe, so everyone has to travel. I figure 6 months is enough time, though, since October is off season (after summer, before skiing).

We sent ours March 1st, but only because we are getting married on a Friday and have a lot of out of towners. I wasn't even going to send any out, was more of a last minute thing.
its on my to-do list for tomorrow!
We're sending them electronically, and Friday is six months out from the wedding, so I want to get them out. Preferably before the 1st of April, so I don't have to get all sorts of "april fool's" questions about them. :)

i am sending mine next week, but my out of towners all know the date. i did want to send sooner but we lagged on finalizing thin design.
We are sending ours out next month, in May. I'm finishing up school so I've been really busy so once I graduate we will get on that; we plan on making our own, so we want to make sure we have enough time to focus on them. Haste makes waste, as they say.
I also don't have a lot of out-of-town invites that don't already know it's going to happen.
We're planning on sending out ours a year to the date. : )
Our were sent out In February....have lots of family coming in from out of town sooooo we thought that would give them LOADS of time to plan ; )) 10-10-10
My STDs went out to the bridal party and family this weekend. We're mailing them to guests this week. A little later then I wanted, but we had to wait for confimation from the Aqarium that they got our contract and everything.
We just printed them out the day before yesterday. We need to cut them, address them, and round the edges but we have NO TIME this week. I hope to get them out by the end of next weekend! So stressed that they aren't out yet!
We sent ours April 1st. It was a relief to get them out, as most of our guests are from out of town. Also, we wanted them to start making hotel reservations and view our wedding website! It feels real now..
Mmm. Actually, we didn't technically send any out. We're having a small wedding, and we set the date and made it very public amongst the family and friends we'd invite. The only out of towners were called and told in Feb., though I've been wondering if I should have sent cards, too. I just know if 3 people who can't come, two for a vacation and another because her brother is getting married the same day. =-)
Yeah ours still aren't out yet. No later than next week though. They are in my possession, just workin gout the finals on the guest list.

OMG...I still havent sent mine out! I am hoping they will go out sometime next week! I better get on that!
