WE'RE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it, I can't stop smiling!!

Writing it down feels so surreal... last night, after 7 years together, my wonderful, amazing man proposed!! It was incredibly sweet and very, very us. He'd asked me earlier this week (after he got sick on Wednesday, the day I'd originally thought he would ask) to save Friday night for a date, since we'd had some pretty intense couple of weeks at work and hadn't seen much of each other. He came to pick me up and, arriving to his home, I saw he had the table all set, had picked up some gorgeous flowers and everything was just... lovely, and ready for us.

We had my favorite sushi rolls for appetizer, and he also managed to get the greatest pasta we had once (about 4 years ago) in Valparaiso, together with the original sage butter sauce and everything! It was from a tiny restaurant we went to just once, and both loved. After dinner, we settled on his couch to watch TV, and he said we'd be having dessert outside, at his top-floor terrace. He made me close my eyes as he carried dessert outside, and when I went outside, saw he had lit the whole terrace with candles... "dessert" was bitter chocolate. We hugged for the longest time (during which I was swallowing chocolate to keep it going, trying not to tear up, in case something happened and it turned out not to be a proposal), and I thanked him for the great date. He smiled and said "Well, see, it gets better"- at which point I began crying, UGLY cry like, and all I can remember is he said our years together had been the greatest... I had thought a million times that I wanted to remember every single word despite the stories I've heard, but I have no idea what he said after that. He took the ring out of a tiny flowerpot, and asked me if I would marry him! I backed up and CRIED and hugged him, and said "YESSSSS!!"  He asked me then, "Don't you wanna see the ring?" And put it on my finger as I went on crying and laughing and... OMG it is SO unbelievable.

We went over to my parent's house, celebrated with them and are right now on the way to tell his parents!

The ring: 2 rows of 18 (Jewish number for chai = life) tiny IF diamonds, designed by himself! That's all the details I know. It is GORGEOUS, my dream ring!

So... I honestly, with all my heart, want to thank you great ladies who make the 'Bee such a warm, supportive community. I cannot believe I get to share my story with you guys, and I hope every waiting bee has an amazing proposal SOON! I can now repeat, as many other bees have said, that the wait is SO worth it.
