Oh yeah, he is a slightly southern Randy. If you close your eyes, you can't even tell them apart. And good call on Bruce Jenner, he's a total dead ringer. They even got the same eyebrow lift, I think!
LOL Bruce Jenner!!! Although I think you are insulting Bruce Jenner. Rumor has it that he was hired for the show, he doesn't actually work for the salon. I like Kleinfelds better too.
omg JUST turned this on and i find him sooo creepy. and trying way too hard to be randy. boo.
Anyone else find the term "jacked up" weird? I've always used it to mean the complete opposite of how they do (messed up, bad situation, looks bad), haha.
I wish he would stop saying he's going to "jack her up"...ahhh what is that??? Just say accessorize!
haha looks like we had the same thought :)
I love you ladies. The term "jacked up" makes me snicker like a twelve year old every time he says it. I feel like he's going to take her in the back, mess up her hair and steal her purse!
Also, I want to know how they found two bridal salons with gay mal fashion directors. I mean, I've been in my fair share of bridal salons and never seen a man on staff. What are the odds?
And I think when Randy ages a bit, you won't be unable to tell the two apart unless they speak. On the other hand, Randy would never jack a bride up.
I was just thinking the same thing about "jacked up"...Ironically I stopped in there late one Sunday afternoon. Three older ladies were standing around. None of them could help me with a ($2K) veil, ($483) headpiece or ($150) shoes. Maybe I just have issues with their accessories. There were 2 other brides in the store, being waited on by other consultants.
Anyone know why they changed stores/locations? It seemed sudden......
@Violachap: I think the original SYTTD will still air, but the Atlanta one will air between New York seasons. It is kind of like the Real Housewives shows, different cities air during different times of the year.
I hope so! I really don't like Atlanta....
I can not stand this one. I won't even watch it. I think I would try to watch if that "I-look-like-death" Randy-wanna wasn't on there. The guy makes my skin crawl. eww...ewww..ewwwwwwwww is all I have to say about him.
So not impressed by this show at all. Can't wait for their season to be over!
Booo...I guess I'm in the minority but I actually like it...I do like NYC Say Yes to the Dress better though...I just like how they say "mama". haha.
I am watching SYTTD: Atlanta right now! It isn't as good as the original - I feel like they are trying too hard. Also, it's a little boring. And where is all the business? The store is always empty! I don't like how TLC uses 'formulas' for their shows to guarantee success - with the Southern Randy, the same 'lessons' at the end, the same narrator, etc. Be more creative, TLC!
I kinda like the Atlanta SYTTD Y'all!!! At least their language is colorful. I mean I've never heard anyone call their grandma "Sissy" OR have their gram tell them they have to have sleeves on their dress or they will look like a hooker! Come on, it's a little bit funny?
I like the Atlanta SYTD as well. Probably because the girls are sassy... and the moms are a little mean :)
I guess there must really be a difference in dress shopping, depending on what region you live in. There is definitely a different "tone" between these two shows.
My finace jokes that Monty is Randy's secret father :).
@Scottielass, thanks for making me laugh on your last remark. Randy's secret father :))
This West Coast lady is completely fascinated with the South and LOVE SYTTD Atlanta! I get a kick out of it when they say their going to "jack up" the bride.
I've been wondering why there's at least one girl in EVERY episode that wears colored contacts. Is this a southern thing?
i also prefer kleinfelds and randy!! monte is a waste of time...and i hate it when they "jack someone up" please, did they make that saying up just for the show?!?!
yes he TOTALLY does, my mom and i have been laughing about it for weeks! i prefer the NYC one too - they reuse the same dresses ALL the time on the Atlanta one, it's so annoying! I want to see a variety, not you constantly slapping the same dresses on different girls. all of the brides' "support groups" are heinous too. it's just an annoying show that i have to watch, due to my wedding addiction T_T

Does anyone else think that Monty on Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta looks like a gray haired Bruce Jenner (the Kardashian stepdad)? just wondering... I feel like he's trying to hard to match Randy from Kleinfelds. Bring back Kleinfelds!!
