Is anyone watching?
I’m sorry, but I find it so ridiculous that the employees at the bridal salon aren’t being more supportive of the cost of the dress!!!!
These are girls who are just starting out…and $200 is a lot for a dress you won’t ever wear again!
I feel bad…I know they were only $6.00 off the budget cost, but it seemed as if most girls wanted a dress in the $150 range.

I was thinking the same thing!

Yup I was like that is so crazy! and there was an episode where the bride made her bridesmaids spend 1200 dollars for designer dress and designer shoes! Come on get real..

I just felt so bad…it was obvious they were trying to be so nice about it…I just thought it was rude. I think $200 is a lot even at my age and with what I make! Yikes!

That was ridiculous. I could find a one-shoulder chiffon dress for well under $200 anywhere–at least 6 places within 10 miles of that salon. Add tax and alterations and you are way over $200.
Mine were $154. My bridesmaids are very well established in life, I just wouldn’t ask them to spend a lot.

@sweetheart03: Yeah that was crazy. Then she had 2 people drop out because they couldn’t afford the 1200 and she was find with it. They looked nice but your couldn’t tell that they spent 1200.

I don’t think I saw the episode you gus are talking about – but I remember an episode once where the bride wanted to choose a BM dress that cost something like $300, $400 – I can’t remember exactly, but it was something like that. And a couple of the girls said no way, they couldn’t pay that much…and the salon manager or owner, in her on-camera commentary for the episode, said, “Pay up or shut up.”
I can understand that the bride gets to choose the style of the dress, even if it isn’t the BM’s personal favorite – but as long as it’s within a reasonable price! I just cannot believe there are brides who would try to bully or guilt their BM’s into spending more than they can afford or more than they’re comfortable with. And the store owner, on TV, is promoting that behavior?? Makes me want to punch someone.
