Wow!  Thank you for posting this!  He messaged me this morning and it looked REALLY suspicious.  My message had horrible English and didn’t make sense why buying tablecloths was so URGENT…

Thank you for warning us!

carlsolindsay:  if you hit CTRL + Enter it adds <div> . The only time I have noticed it disappears is when you hit enter alone. I had to pay attention to how I was typing because I noticed it was happening all the time for me. Thats when I realized I was hitting keys other than just enter.

I got the same thing! So I investigated how it works. Basically, they say they want to buy it. Then they email you telling you a sad story (how the daughter got in a car accident, is in the hospital, in a coma). Their “debtor” sends you a check but it’s (“accidentally”) for more than what they owe you (at least a thousand over). They ask you to keep what you’re owed plus another $100 then wire the remaining money to their “doctor” so that his daughter can get the surgery done. What happens is, a week or two later, the bank calls you and tells you the check was not real and you have just lost whatever money you wired to them. So sad. I’m so trusting of people too and almost went through with it because it pulls at your heartstrings. 🙁

Just to mention,  about the <div> tags, it’s possible your email had hidden formatting data that was included in the copy paste. In the future, if you copy and paste it into notepad then copy and paste from notepad to here, it should get rid of any hidden stuff.

Sorry about the weird formatting- using my phone to post!

I’m worried that I won’t be able to sell my dress because the only responses have been scammers! Ugh.

Also got an email from Donald, thanks for the heads-up! It seemed a little suspicious to me, the way the email was worded and how random words were capitalized.
