Hahaha...the night I found my dress I had a dream I got preggo!  And considering we are 9 months out, it was freaky!  I think it's because 5 of my gfs just had their babies so I've been holding and visiting babies non-stop.  But yah...I do worry about that.

Ok i'm on the pill and we use condoms properly every time. That said I still freak every time I find potential symptoms even if I just had my period. The reason for this is because my period on the pill can be extremely light and last for as little as 2 days. I know that everything will be ok even if do become pregnant (mind you that everything will change and be a little difficult for a while). I still keep a box of pregnancy tests under the sink though, because I could never forgive myself if I did something stupid not knowing I was pregnant and ultimatley ended up hurting the child.

That being said I still am really hoping that no accidents happen until a child would be a true blessing (like in 5-6 years). My best advice to any one who worries about being pregnant is to invest in a box of pregnancy tests; the peace of mind is more than worth the $10 you will spend to get it.

I have thought about it in passing, but now I'm under the 3 month mark and know it wouldn't be so bad (as far as showing and fitting my dress).  Just be very careful and try not to worry about it!

I freaked on this myself the other day and I'm 40.

Wierd, I know.  I'm very fertile still and on the pill though.

I kept wondering when I was buying some amazing stuff on sale at Michael's "wow..what would happen i I got pregnant?  I guess I'll keep receipts on everything in case."

I have a bad case of pms right now and get moody adn think of the craziest crap when I'm like this though.  Thus, the crazy pregnancy thought!

For a while I wasn't even thinking about it...then out of nowhere a couple months ago I kept thinking "oh no...what would I do?" I already bought my dress, so I really would have to change the date...lol. Not really doing anything to prevent getting pregnant either though, so I guess I mostly feel like if it happens it happens. I wouldn't be too upset, just very stressed out.

Those of you who are worried about it though, as long as you are taking precautions like BC and condoms...if you're using it correctly you have nothing to worry about really. :) Here's to all of us NOT getting pregnant before the big day!!

Yep, I get the feeling once every month! Usually during my 8 day ovulation as well! I think my body is trying to tell me something - but seriously, last month I was freaking out about it and FH just said "so you'll start your period in around 2 weeks". It's not even so much that we wouldn't want kids (we'd prefer to wait but hey, a baby takes two and we know the risks, although we do use condoms and I'm on the Pill) but I don't have the type of dress that would rock a bump!

Ah yes, tripping up in the homestretch - a frequent fear of mine;) I've been having irregular periods for the last few months, so my OB/GYN suggested I stop the pill for a month or 2 to "reset" my schedule.  I stared incredulously and told him that wasn't an option.  I've made it 29 yrs oops-free, that's far too much time & money invested to blow it in the final quarter.

It's funny, because I'm totally opposite. I never worried about it before, but now that we're married, I'm afraid I'm going to get pregnant! I want to enjoy several years of marriage before I have kids, and I'm afraid I won't get that now. Funny, huh?

I am right there with you... super paranoid! (he wants a Honeymoon baby---which I think is awesome too!  BUT I don't want to be sick for my wedding etc---AND I want to wear my beautiful dress! haha)  We actually were talking about this last night... hehehe I think we are just all stressing about our 'day'...

I am so thankful that you posted this board!!

I, too, fret about getting pregnant before the wedding... We have less than 6 months to go, and I'm almost to the point of just not having sex at all until we get married! We are of course using protection, but it's hard to just block it out of your mind.

I agree with @Miss LIly!... Here's to us all NOT getting preggers before the big day!!!

I've thought about it...my wedding is in, like, 8 months! lol. But I wouldn't be devestated, either. Which is weird.

My wedding is 9 months away, and I am definately taking precautions ;) But I still can't help calculating that special time of the month how pregnant I would be if there was to be a 0.3% mix up. It really stresses me, however i wouldn't be devistated either, but I would have to change my bridal attire... I won't be clear headed until that 3 month mark from the wedding. I think it is very common for us brides to feel this way because you have a vision in your head about how you want to look, and I have heard some brides who have had this unexpected surprise and they didn't feel comfortable (depending on how far along they were), or the way they wanted to look as a bride.

I have my tubes tied and still worry about it! It doesn't go away, when you have big events coming up you always think about what could happen in that department

I've had the same thoughts.. we are exactly 9 months away today- I want to have children-- just don't want to be pregnant on our wedding day-- glad to hear I'm not the only one thinking of this though.

I know this thread is a little bit old - but I jsut wanted to chime in and say that I had the same issues last fall.  We weren't engaged yet, but I knew it was coming.  I have actually never had a scare and took my birth control without issue for years - but I couldn't shake the idea that I could NOT get pregnant before I was married.

I ended up making the decision to get an IUD to be certain this wouldn't happen.  My FI actually freaked out thinking it was 5 years before we had the OPTION of kids, and once I calmed him down he was fine.  Overall, I'm very pleased with it and rave about it to anyone who will listen!  I have Mirena and am one of the girsl who had her periods stop using it, so its been a nice change.
