my fiance is away tonight so im home on my own.
I just got woken up at 3.30am buy a guy ringing the doorbell, i opened the window and shouted down to him to see what he wanted he looked almost shocked there was someone in and said ‘dont worry darlin’ and walked up the street.
I got back into bed only to find my cat going crazy because the same guy is trying to get in the front door, i shoult out to him what are you doing and threaten to phone the police so he gets angry and slams into the door.
i call the police in tears because im 7 weeks pregnant and very emotional and the lovely man keeps me talking on the phone until the officers get here.
Well they send 2 police vans (bit eccessive) and once they arrive inform me that they have found the guy trying to break into a house further along the street.
I feel so stressed so need to let it out on here have a sweet cup of tea and hope baby is ok. all that crying has given me really bad stomach cramps but i think its just contractions of muscles-i hope.
I have tried to contact my fiance (hes staying at his brothers) but i think hes passed out after a few drinks.

How scarry! I’m glad you are ok, and I’m sure the people down the street are thankful you called the cops. I totally would have slept through the doorbell.

Oh dear, I’m glad you are okay! Good thinking calling the police, I probably would have just hid in a closet or something stupid!

i remember to look at what he was wearing, so the police found him pretty easily. what an ordeal, why to these things happen when your home alone- i could have set a trap like home alone. The policeman was really nice and offered to sit with me and made me a cup of tea 🙂

Good for you for calling for help! It’s over now but how scary. And just think, you may have prevented someone else from getting hurt! 🙂

Way to catch that thief!! Good work. Do something that will help you feel calm and relaxed…take a bath? call a friend?

That’s scary! Glad you’re okay – I would have been so freaked out. Good job calling the police!

Wow you brave woman! I’m glad to hear you and the baby are safe. This is one of the biggest reasons why I hate staying alone. People are insane out there!

Scary. I’m glad that the police found the guy and nothing bad happened.
If you live somewhere that you are allowed to have a dog, you might want to consider getting one. When I’m home alone, I find it reassuring to know my dog will alert me if anything strange happens.

Oh man, I know how you feel. A few months ago, my fiance was also out with his friends and was staying at his buddy’s place overnight. I was home alone and also naked all day/night. I get ready for bed and climb in, excited to have the entire bed to myself (but also sleeping on fiance’s pillow because I missed him) and as I’m settling down to sleep, I hear men talking in the office, which is just next to the bedroom. I am instantly alert and quietly close the bedroom door, locking me and the cats in the bedroom. I reach under the bed and grab my battle axe–which is real and very heavy and while it’s kept blunt for safety reasons (I wear it for Ren Faire) it could still easily crush a skull. I know how to use it but even if I did not, it’s large enough to be intimidating. So I’m sitting there, in my room, bareass naked with my axe. I hear the voices still and think that if they don’t know I am here, I can sneak out the back door (it’s right next to the bedroom door) and go downstairs to the neighbors and call the police. So I put my ear up to the wall to listen to what they are saying. I realize that the voices are familiar but I can’t quite make it out. Then it hits me.
I went into the office, leaned my axe against his desk and turned his Teamspeak off. I left the axe there to illustrate how frightened his oversight when logging out of Diablo 3 had made me.

I don’t think your fiancé is going to be feeling great because he wasn’t there..
Good work at keeping calm. Women are so freaking strong!
