Well, I have one more day in the Military, and then its just going to be my man in. Stupid injury! I so dont want to get out! Its scary! Any Bee's that were military and now just there other half is in. Its going to be so weird, and I am a little jealous of him that he gets to continue to serve! But of course I am proud of him! This is just not going to be easy!!! We have worked together, not the same unit but same thing basicaly. So I wont be there, or able to help with things, or have my "hands" in like I could before. Uhg! So not happy! : (

I'm so sorry, I left active duty in 2005 (I'm in the reserves now) and it took me a long time to adjust, of course, I didn't have Mr. Encore with me then :-( Just take it one day at a time, set some new goals for yourself and you guys as a team and you will be ok. You'll get to the point where you won't even miss the BS. If you ever need to chat just page me!

*hugs* Thank you so much for serving! I'm sorry you have to leave, it sounds like you're really bummed out, but think of it as a whole new chapter with a whole new adventure!

Thanks bunches ladies! Well, I am actually at work right now for the last day! Pretty much all checked out and done with all that logistical jazz! Pretty much just waiting around until the end of the day when I turn in my ID and all that final stuff!

Pretty weird! Trying to find a new job and things that will keep myself busy! Plus throwing myself completley into planning this wedding might help too! LOL Wow its amazing how fast so many years can fly by and all of this can already be at the end! Its been a tough road but some of the best years of my life I will have had I am sure!

@TheEncoreBride- I thought about going into the reserves, still unsure really, I mean I KNOW that with me claiming dissability due to my injury is going to be fairly significant, and if I go into the reserves I will basically waive that,  so thats why I am still unsure of it all. Dont know, how do you like it? What do you do if you dont mind me asking?

I'm sure you will get everything all figured out! My brother is getting back from his second tour in Iraq this month (FINALLY!!!) and then in Jan. he will be finished with the Army. He is kind of freaking out about what he's going to do once he's out, but I'm sure he will figure it all out too!

How long have you been in the service? I'm always worried that something will happen tha will prevent me from staying in the military. I've been in for 8 years now (5.5 have been active guard) and just the thought of finding a cilivian job intimidates me. :o) Have you thought about checking out the Army or Air National Guard?

@mssushi- Been in for 6. I thought about going Reserve or something like that, but literally my medical stuff is a fairly big part of why I am thinking not. Basically I had Three knee surgeries in the last 4 years. Right now routine injections is all they will do until I am much much older and can have it replaced. They wont do it when I am still only in my 20's! Mmore like 50's!

I know I will get dissablility comp from the VA for that and what not. I physically cant do my old job anymore as a aircrewman (flyer). And I have been attatched to the sky since I was born, dads a pilot so I have been around flying and lovin it since before I can remember, so anything else would be such a tease knowing my eyes would always be fixed on the sky and any plane passing by! As of right now I am trying to find something on the Civilian contractor side that works with the platform and plane that I flew on. We will see! Fingers crossed!
