(Closed) School Interview advice/help

Good luck!  

I don’t know much about this but I used to work for my school’s career center when I was a student so I heard a lot of these questions.  I also was part of a hiring committee… what I noticed is that some people pick on anything for not hiring you.  

examples:  

One guy showed up in a tie “but it’s crooked” was a comment and “he is wearing it with sneakers”

A girl showed up with a top that was “too much; it’s a party top not a work top”

 

I thought they were way too harsh but now I see that when I go on an interview I have to look sharp, be friendly and happy, appear to love what they want to see, be enthusiastic, answer truthfully but don’t be afraid to take a pause.  I was told to lean in but I can’t quite remember why…
