i think this is a really cool idea. have you checked out Mrs. Hummingbird's blog about A Fabulous Scrabulous Wedding? It might give you some inspiration.
What a great way to propose, very creative!
I think it would be great to add that theme to your wedding. It's obviously very special and meaningful to the both of you, so it would be great to share that with your guests. Make sure to print out and frame the proposal picture to put on display!
I love it!!! Go for it, it's great and wonderfully unique. My fiance proposed to me over Scrabble as well (it was reminiscent of our 1st date). I have our "Will You Marry Me" Scrabble Board put up permanently in my den.
We will not have a Scrabble themed wedding but will incorporate it in small bits. We are DIYing our Save The Dates and escort cards in Scrabble Letters. We wont have a Scrabble wedding cake but might turn a Scrabble board into our cake plate.
I think that's a great idea! It would definitely be something original and a highlight for guests to talk about, and it ties in so well with the proposal - go for it!
As a LOVER of scrabble, I think it is so cool! It will be one unique cake and I likey!!
I saw this picture awhile back and have been leaning towards a Scrabble cake for the Grooms cake as well. Now I just need to decide what to make it say!
That's really cute! I'm not one for overly themey things, but how darling!
I'm so excited about all the positive comments! There's only one other thing that I was wondering about. To me, a Scrabble cake would be red and probably looks the best as in the picture. I'm thinking about having Cobalt blue mixed in with fall colors for the wedding. So, should I try to envision the cake done in blue, or can I keep it red and not match just for the fact that Scrabble is red?
What a cute way to incorporate something that you love...you should do it!
That is soooo cute! A nice way to include your proposal in the wedding.
Oh yes yes do it! especially if most of your guests know the proposal story. Ahh, I LOVE that he got you the "diamond" edition and used it to give you your diamond. ;)

I'm not much into "traditional wedding cakes" and I'm a sucker for the "live, love, laugh" type of stuff. That being said my FI and I love to play board games and scrabble is pretty high on the list. He bought me the diamond edition for Christmas this past year. One month after that he spelled out the proposal on the board! :)
When I saw this cake I thought it was perfect..not only the words but idea of carrying the "scrabble" theme into the wedding. I wanna know what everyone else thinks! Let me know you're thoughts!! :)
