Wondering what people think of lottery scratch tickets as favors. My wedding has passed, and we went with M&M’s with our names on them, but lottery tickets was one of the options we considered. We thought some people might view it as fun, but some might consider it tacky. Would there be letdown when most turned out to be losers? Would there have been little shavings left everywhere?
Just wondering now how people would have reacted. The M&M’s were OK, but there is not a large writing surface, so our names were small.

I voted not sure. I like getting them as presents but it’s also true tht there’s a bit of a letdown when they are “loser” tickets…

I would find it fun because a scratch ticket is a guilty pleasure I enjoy once in a blue moon, but I probably wouldn’t do it as a wedding favour because I have some friends and family who are against gambling, even if it’s something small like that.

I would love it! I’ve never gotten a lottery ticket but FI likes to buy them every once in a while.

i don’t think it really goes with a wedding at all. i would be confused why its at the wedding. unless it was like a vegas-inspired wedding

I could see mixed reviews if some people are against gambling, so maybe it depends on your crowd. I love gambling so I would love them!

I think it would be super fun, even If I lost. scratch tickets are something I only buy once in a blue moon, but it would be fun if someone I knew won something big 🙂

I wouldn’t. I like them, but a lot of people are really against gambling. I’m glad you went with M&Ms… Who could be against those !? 😉

I think if the theme of your wedding was more laid back and fun then they would have been great. But if you had a big elegant wedding and then handed out scratch offs at the end it would have seemed out of place.

Based on how many people do not like the idea, I’m glad we did not go with the lottery tickets
