@MissCasey: We were in the same boat. Displaced by stowe and left to find a new ceremony/reception venue to accommodate 200 guests. Did you end up booking anywhere?
@KCbride11: Our top two choices right now are Black on Burlington and Stony Point Hall.
I've been having the hardest time getting venues to return my calls/e-mails! The few that have say they've been overloaded with inquiries from Stowe Brides!
I would recommend River Market Event Place! We visited this new venue, which unfortuantely, was booked for our date. It is very beautiful and has a lofty/modern feel to it! Would be suitable for both ceremony/reception! Wish we could have done it there. Also, used the "gathering guide" quite a bit...it had quite a few locations in the crossroads/west bottoms that I hadn't realized were there...good resource!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
So... I was one of the Stowe Building brides (did you see the Fox 4 Problem Solvers segment last week?) that was "lucky" enough to have already booked my venue, planned part of my wedding... then they got shut down last week (something about issues with the city).
Now I'm trying to find a new place... and I need some ideas. We want something that is more modern/urban looking in the KC area. We also want to be able to have a wedding and reception for 200ish people.
Any help/ideas are appreciated!
