    Hi Ladies -
I posted this on the OC board too and then realized, "Hi, I'm having my wedding in San Diego!" (I live in OC). So while I'm sure OC photographers will go to SD, I thought I ask you ladies about photographers actuall based in San Diego...
I'm just looking for recommendations for reasonably priced photographers in SD :) Thanks!

Hi! I am planning an SD wedding too! We had wonderful photographers for our engagement pictures, but we had to drastically cut our budget so $4000 on photography was out of the question. If that is in your budget, then i HIGHLY suggest Aquario Studio.

    Aquario Studio home page: www.aquariostudio.com

Aquario Studio recent pictures taken: www.aquariostudio.net <-- Here you can click on any of the couples (Engagement photos are at the very bottom) and enter in your email address and see all of the pictures.

     They are phenomenal.

We decided on a man named Paul for our wedding. He is really good too and cheaper. We got a really large package with him for $2700. I am so happy with our decision. I know he is going to be great. If we had more money, I definitely would have gone with Aquario Studio though. :)

    Here is his webpage: www.photobypault.com

Hi. I'm a lurker here but thought I'd post on this. I was married at Cuvier Park in La Jolla in October, and had a fantastic photographer. She's just starting out so she's got some good specials. Her website isn't up yet, but here is her blog site

Check her out. She's great. GL on finding a photographer.

How much are looking to spend? There are so many photographers in San Diego and depending on what you need (number of hours, how many photographers, dvd of pics, etc.) will determine which photographers could meet those needs. My engagement pictures were taken by Sam of Full Circle Photography: www.fullcphotography.com. We loved these pictures. He provides a DVD of pics. My wedding photographer is Melissa McClure: www.melissamcclure.com. You can check out her blog for more recent pics: http://melissamcclure.net. Good luck!

Just in case anyone else is looking. I have a great photographer up in North County. Craig Tiscareno. He doesn't have a blog, but you can see my engagements on my blog and see how great he is! He started out as a surf photographer so he has a very laid-back vibe that we're very comfortable around him, but he's super professional and well-prepared. He seems to be excited to be behind the lense and has so much fun while he's shooting. I think he has a great eye for composition and light. He works in a combination of traditional and photojournalistic styles. To top it all off, he's less than $2000 for full day coverage with a second shooter.

Thank you ladies :) I just thought I'd let you know I went with Ohana Photography in San Diego, but I think we should keep this thread going for other SD Brides looking for a photographer.I did look into every photographer recommended and they were all very professional and their pricing was reasonable (to me). I went with after the recommendation from Melissa McClure (who was already booked my wedding day), Melissa was really nice and I loved her work :)

    Orange Turtle is awesome! http://orangeturtleblog.com

They are a husband/wife team and they did my friend's beach wedding aftershoot so I got to see them in action. I also got to sit across from them during the wedding because Cindy (the primary photographer) was a bridesmaid and Mr. Eggplant was the Best Man. Not only are they skilled and reasonably priced, they are the sweetest people you'll ever meet!
