Seams that were not there before

Hmmm I don’t know, was the sheer part too big on you?  They should have asked you before putting seams in.  I’m amazed that you had a seamless top to begin with.  What does that looks like?  You said it was a David’s Bridal dress?  Which one is it?

Was the top of the dress too large, or were the shoulders to broad, or the bodice too long?

There are a LOT of reasons to take in the shoulders!
