I had my dress altered by someone at Exquisite Bride in Murrysville. I think her name was Linda, and I know she said she did private, non-bridal shop alterations out of her home. I don't think I have her business card any longer, but I'd say give Exquisite Bride a call and see if you can track down a number for her. If I remember correctly, she doesn't work every day of the week, but I am 99% sure she did my first alteration appointment on a Monday evening, so I'd recommend trying Monday shortly before the store closes (I think alterations were done after the store closed). Hope this helps!
@snowcone: Yes it does, thank you! I actually grew up down the street from that store, lol. (I'm originally from Export, PA, are you familiar with the area?) I'll have to call them up and see what they can do.
Do you remember how much you paid and what all you got done?

I'm looking for an independent seamstress/alterations place in the Monroeville/east suburbs area. Would be willing to travel to Pittsburgh too. I'm just afraid that David's Bridal is going to charge an arm and a leg and I really don't want to pay as much as the dress is worth for alterations.
Anyone have any recommendations?
