What great ideas!!! I really like the stamps but I think if you decide that will be too much, your handwriting is lovely and will look great (and not cheap!). I would definitely either put the word "table" on the second leaf or just maybe put a sign up underneat the tree saying "seating assignments" or something to make it clear thats what it is.

I feel like when people get into big groups they want to ask a million questions and not find the answers themselves, so the more you provide for them, the less of a headache you’ll have.

Craftypants, I love your ideas. The stamping looks great but since your handwriting is very legible and nice looking I say go with that. I will save you a lot of time and effort and you will be able to put their full names on the leaves.

Either way, they are both great ideas. Go with what you want. In the end, it is you that has to like them!

What a fun idea! I love the stamping and am all for no last names – but do you have many guests with the same first name? (You could always use the first initial on their last name).

If you’re worried about materials you could also stamp the table name on the back of the leaves. And I agree with MoSnow about making it clear that the last names are also table names (might confuse some family member whose last names you’re using as table names).

Personally, I like the stamped ones better then the handwritten, the stamped ones don’t look DIY at all. But, I feel you about the time issue, so if you handwrite them, I would be curious to see how it would look in print vs. cursive.

If you decide to go with the stamp & to avoid confusion, I second what Nixlapi said about just stamping the back of the leaves vs. having two leaves. Also, if you don’t have guests of similar first names, I do like the idea of not including last names, I think it makes it more personal and less formal.

I like the look of the handwritten ones the best actually. I think it suits the look of the leaves better!

LOVE the idea of the acorns for the kids….what an adorable idea!

Awww Crafty! I love your acorn idea, that is adorable! You have lots of cute ideas for the kids so far, they are sure to have a blast!

I prefer your handwriting. It’s more organic which matches the natural shapes of the manzanita and leaves more. Plus it’s easier than stamping. Don’t doubt yourself, just roll with it!

Don’t forget to post a pic when you’re done!

Hmmm…I like the handwritten ones better…guess that doesn’t help too much 🙂

Alternatively, you could adhere them to an 8.5×11 piece of paper with removable adhesive and then print them…it would take some effort to set it up, but they would all look the same and you wouldn’t have to go through the effort of stamping them.

I think handwriting would add to the detail you’ve already put in place with the leaves and trees.  Would make it fun and personalized!
