My hubby’s sister is getting married in a few weeks. She’s working on her seating chart and asked me and my hubby where we want to sit.
Hubby thinks it’s appropriate and makes sense that the both of us sit with his family.
I think it’s appropriate and makes sense that we sit with my family (my whole family is going).
What makes more sense? Are there any rules out there about this? I don’t want to start any arguments so I’m looking for some advice!

Honestly, it doesn’t really matter. You’ll really only be sitting for dinner anyway. Tell her to put you with whichever table has an opening.

I don’t think it matters. Since it’s his sister maybe you should just sit with his family.

Since it’s his sister getting married it’s more of a celebration for his family so I would think you would sit with his family if that is what he prefers.

I think it makes more sense to sit with his family, if there’s room at the table. But I would definitely prefer to sit with my family, so I get where you’re coming from!
